Numerous heavy rain showers and thunderstorms moved across the South Carolina Piedmont during the afternoon and evening in association with a warm front. This was after a round of moderate to heavy rain moved across the area early in the day, producing up to 2 inches of rain. A brief severe thunderstorm affected part of Greenwood County during the afternoon, while a quick inch of additional rainfall resulted in flash flooding across portions of York County during the evening.
