Heavy rainfall over southeast Lincoln County and northeast Clark County produced major flash flooding in the Muddy River and California Wash which caused considerable damage to roads and homes in Moapa, Hidden Valley and Overton. A total of about 220 people had to be evacuated from the three communities and many homes suffered major flood damage. Flood waters in the Muddy river also completely washed out the Gubler Street bridge. No injuries were reported.
