Flash Flood — De Baca, NM

May 22, 2015

A strong upper level disturbance combined with a strengthening low level jet over eastern New Mexico generated numerous strong to severe thunderstorms across the plains during the late evening hours of the 22nd into the morning of the 23rd. A couple severe storms produced 60 mph wind gusts in De Baca County and half dollar size hail in Roosevelt County.
