Near record winter snow pack and ice on area creeks underwent a slow melt during the first half of the month. A rapid warm-up followed and resulted in ice jams on Cazenovia and Buffalo Creeks. Although gages on both creeks reached ���major��� flood stage, the only flooding reported was in low lying areas.
