The Big Muddy river rose above the estimated flood stage of 12 feet on March 17. The river remained above flood stage through March 29, peaking at 16.59 feet at 11 a.m. on March 22. The rising waters inundated three roads in the area. Homestead Road west of Homestead remained inundated through March 30th.

Spring rains across the area resulted in additional high elevation snowmelt which led to elevated water levels along many creeks and streams. Belt Creek flooded for a second time this month. Water levels crested at 6.78 feet at the river gauge along Belt Creek near Monarch.
