Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms produced hail up to the size of golf balls across the Heartland during the evening hours of the 24th. However, the most life-threatening weather occurred in Irion County, where a slow moving thunderstorm dumped excessive rainfall across basin of the Mid-Concho River.
