Another round of significant rainfall fell over parts of northeast Iowa during the overnight and early morning hours of July 27 and 28. Radar indicated rainfall of 2 to 3 inches from just north of Waterloo to south of Mason City. The bulk of the rains fell in the Beaver Creek and West Fork Cedar River basins. Initial forecasts called for significant flooding near Finchford on the West Fork Cedar River, however these conditions failed to develop as seriously as expected. There was minor floo
