Flash Flood — Pontotoc, OK

Jun 30, 1999

Thunderstorms which formed over portions of western and central Oklahoma during the late evening of the 29th and the early morning of the 30th, produced isolated areas of severe weather, flooding, and lightning damage. Thunderstorms formed first over western Oklahoma. A county road was closed between Selman and Buffalo in Harper County, while 3 miles west of Buffalo, Highway 64 was closed due to high water. In Perry in Noble County, a power line was struck by lightning, which then started a fire
