A slow-moving upper low and associated weak cold front pushed across the mountains during the day and produced some heavy downpours and isolated flash flooding. There were some impressive rainfall reports including a date record for June 2 at Roanoke ASOS (ROA) of 3.11 inches, easily breaking the date record of 2.11 inches set in 1959.
