Short lines of showers and thunderstorms formed in the humid air during the afternoon. This was well ahead of a cold front in northwest Ohio to southern portions of Indiana and Illinois. ||The front sank south into southern Ohio early on the 8th. Repetitive showers caused 1 to 1.5 inches of rain in about 3 to 4 hours during the predawn.
