Thunderstorms developed during the afternoon hours across parts of the Genesee Valley and Finger Lakes. Training thunderstorms dropped upwards of four inches of rain across northern Livingston County in about an hour. The heavy rain resulted in flash flooding in the Towns of Avon and Ashantee. Numerous roads were inundated and/or closed including, for example, Pole Bridge Road, Lake Road and Boyd Road.
