Following heavy rains the previous day or two for many areas of northern and central New Mexico, another round of slow-moving thunderstorms dumped heavy rainfall over central and eastern New Mexico during the afternoon and evening of the 30th. Rainfall accumulations between 0.5 and 1.5 inches in a short period of time were common. The highest 24-hour rainfall total reported was 2.5 inches in Santa Rosa.
