An east-west line of showers and thunderstorms developed across Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. The thunderstorms dropped nearly three inches of rain total however the intensity of the rain at times overwhelmed drainage systems. Several roads were closed due to flood waters. The waters slowly receded over several hours.
