The remnants of Hurricane Dean brought numerous thunderstorms to many areas of Southern California. Thunderstorms erupted in northern San Diego County shortly before sunrise near Escondido. Within a couple hours, the thunderstorms had expanded along a line that extended from near Oceanside to Julian.
