Thunderstorms with strong wind gusts and heavy flooding rainfall moved across portions of the Texas Panhandle on the 3rd. Some wind damage from severe thunderstorms occurred in Hansford County and also near Borger. As storms moved into Amarillo, a very moist environment resulted in heavy rainfall amounts in a short period of time and this lead to flash flooding.
