Jul 19, 2015
A nearly stationary front from the central Plains to southern Lake Michigan provided the focus for periods of thunderstorms in west central Illinois during the early morning hours of July 19th. These thunderstorms were not only slow moving but continued to build over the the same areas, resulting in heavy rainfall amounts in areas that had experienced extensive flash flooding the prior week.
