Scattered, slow-moving thunderstorms developed across the South Carolina foothills in the late afternoon and evening in the vicinity of a nearly stationary front. One slow moving storm caused localized flash flooding across southwest Pickens County, after 2 to 4 inches of rain fell in a short period of time.
