A very moist and unstable airmass resulted in widespread afternoon thunderstorms over the mountains of San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. Additional thunderstorms erupted on the Elsinore Convergence Zone in the Inland Empire. Severe weather and flash flooding were reported with a few of these thunderstorms.
