After a morning cluster of showers and thunderstorms, convection redeveloped during the early afternoon in central Ohio. This was on the western flank of the morning convection. The storms and showers moved into West Virginia during the late afternoon and evening. This was south of a cold front that was creeping south from northern Ohio.||The strongest cells produced localized downpours and hail. Hail as large as golf balls fell in Ritchie County.
