An upper level impulse moving along a wavy frontal boundary produced scattered thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall the morning of the 3rd. Some roads were closed due to flash flooding in Beaver county, while radar estimated nearly 4 inches of rain fell in 2 hours northeast of Ligonier in Westmoreland county. This produced flooding of roads, with one bridge washed out, as well as a water recuse from a home and a vehicle.
