Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed during the afternoon of June 12th, as a warm, very moist, and unstable air mass was in place ahead of an upper level low pressure system over Southern Oklahoma and attendant trough axis that trailed the low across Central Texas. This disturbance enhanced the strength of the sea breeze over Southeast Texas and South Louisiana, with multiple outflow boundaries focusing new shower and thunderstorm development throughout the day as they spread north over
