Flash Flood — York, SC

May 1, 2016

Scattered thunderstorms developed across the South Carolina Piedmont during the afternoon and evening of the 30th and again on the morning of the 1st north of a stationary front. An area of training thunderstorms developed over eastern York County during the evening, resulting in very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in the Rock Hill area. Flash flooding then redeveloped during the morning of the 1st when another round of showers and storms produced more heavy rain.
