A cold front moves across a marginally unstable air mass during the afternoon of June 28th developing thunderstorms in the Adirondacks that eventually moved into the Champlain Valley. A few isolated thunderstorms did deliver strong gusty damaging winds and one inch diameter hail, and heavy rainfall caused flash flooding that closed state highways.
