Bonnie first developed as a Tropical Depression in the western Atlantic just north of the Bahamas on May 27th. The system then tracked in a general northwestward direction and strengthened into a Tropical Storm. Bonnie made landfall as a Tropical Depression in the morning on May 29th on the Isle of Palms in Charleston County.
