Thunderstorms formed after dark in central West Virginia. With high freezing levels and precipitable water values, heavy rain was the primary result of evening convection. Thunderstorms moved slowly north along and to the west of the I-79 corridor. Radar estimated upwards of 2-3 inches of rain in portions of Lewis and Gilmer Counties. Minor flooding occurred in the Vadis area of Lewis County.
