The remnants of Tropical Storm Noel impacted coastal Massachusetts with high winds and coastal flooding. Trees, branches, and power lines were downed, resulting in an estimated 50,000 customers without power across the South Shore, Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard. Several houses and cars were damaged by falling trees and tree limbs throughout this area as well. A handful of boats also were beached on Nantucket.
