Dec 15, 2007
Persistent widespread moderate rain produced one to three inches over a ten-hour period. This rainfall occurred over ground that was very moist due to rainfall earlier in the month. Since the ground was unable to absorb much water, the rainfall either pooled in low-lying areas or ran off quickly into streams and creeks. The rain occurred ahead of a warm front that extended northeast from low pressure over Louisiana.
