The afternoon of Tuesday, August 16th, a cluster of thunderstorms developed in northern Dunn and northern Chippewa counties of west central Wisconsin. Some of the storm trained across the same areas for an hour or two. Additional thunderstorms that developed in the southwest suburbs of the Twin Cities, moved slowly to the east and produced another round of storms in west central Wisconsin that evening. A few of the storm became strong along with torrential rainfall and flooding near Bloomer.
