A strong mid-upper level perturbation moved northeast from the Southern Rockies to the Northern Plains. This character found high octane moisture residing across the Kansas Neighborhood to produce very heavy rains across Central and South-Central Kansas from late in the afternoon of the 24th until late in the night of the 24th/early morning of the 25th.
