Flash Flood — Chautauqua, NY

Slow moving thunderstorms developed along the Lake Erie Lake Breeze. The rainfall rates peaked at four to five inches per hour as the storms neared Jamestown. Route 60 between Peck Settlement Road and Johns Place was closed due to flooding. Other reports of more minor flooding were received including numerous manhole covers displaced due to overflowing storm drains, and an inch or two's worth of water flowing down the stairs near Jamestown High School.
