An area of low pressure drew subtropical moisture northward over the region, producing widespread moderate rainfall from the 21st to the 22nd of December. Accumulating rainfall fell from the coast to the deserts. Minor urban flooding was reported. The storm produced gusty northeast to east winds over and west of the mountains, with the strongest winds below the San Gorgonio Pass.
