Northwest Wisconsin had multiple rounds of heavy rain over several days, causing saturated soils, rising creek and river levels, and flooding. The town of Glidden in southern Ashland County was hit especially hard when the East Fork of the Chippewa River flooded part of the town. The upper part of the river basin of the river received about 4 to 6 of rain late Monday into early Tuesday, followed by additional rounds of rain through early Thursday.
