Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developed over the central mountain chain once again as low level moisture and instability remained in place over New Mexico. Northwest flow aloft over the state allowed storms to organized near the high terrain then push east onto the high plains. The most significant storm of the day developed over the southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains then moved south through the Glorieta and Pecos area.
