Early during the morning of July 1st, a complex of strong to severe thunderstorms moved south of the Red River into North Central Texas. These storms weakened during the morning hours but a remnant outflow boundary across Northeast Texas combined with afternoon heating and moderate to high instability to produce additional severe thunderstorms across Northeast Texas.
