On the morning of the 27th, an isolated, but slow-moving, severe thunderstorm struck Western Butler County with half dollar and ping pong ball-sized hail. With the severe thunderstorm moving southeast at only 10 mph, the heavy rains it produced caused the Dry Creek to overflow. (Dry Creek certainly wasn't dry.) The flooding occurred at the SW 50th/Tawakoni Rd Intersection where waters were 3 feet deep.
