Flash Flood — Jefferson Davis, MS

Showers and thunderstorms occurred in a warm and very moist air mass. Very heavy rainfall resulted in a significant localized flooding event, with some locations receiving over 6 inches of rain in a short period of time. Numerous roads were covered in several inches of water, with waist deep water in some homes. Strong gusty winds with some of these storms resulted in some downed trees due to rain saturated ground.
