Developing low pressure passing near the region in a high precipitable water environment (2.27 on the 12Z 7/7 OKX sounding) resulted in heavy rainfall across much of the region that led to isolated flash flooding and river flooding across parts of the Lower Hudson Valley. ||Rainfall amounts ranged from 1-2.5 across the area, with reports of 2.16 of rain in Nanuet from an IFLOWS gauge and 1.96 in Armonk from CoCoRaHS.
