Strong thunderstorms developed across portions of La Paz County during the afternoon hours on August 10th; the stronger storms produced strong damaging microburst winds as well as locally heavy rainfall. Intense rainfall led to episodes of flash flooding which primarily affected the interstate 10 corridor from Quartzsite through Brenda.
