Flood — Putnam, FL

Oct 1, 2017

An extended period of breezy onshore flow brought waves of coastal showers onshore which produced locally heavy, flooding rainfall in some areas. The nor'easter was strongest Oct. 1st between a frontal zone just south of the local area and high pressure wedging across GA. The front gradually shifted south of the local forecast area into the 2nd, but onshore flow continued through the 4th as a trough was near the Bahamas and high pressure extended NNW of the region. Strongest winds were observed
