A strong low pressure system moved up the east coast producing heavy rain and strong winds. The strong winds took down trees in Littleton, Riverton, Wantage, Byram, Culvers inlet, Matawan, Southhampton, Springdale and Pleasant Valley. Most of these locations are in the northern portions of the state. Power outages did occur as a result of downed trees and wires across the state.
