Several rounds of widespread heavy rainfall tracked northeast across southeast Missouri. These rounds of heavy rain produced localized flooding of roads, as well as minor flooding of the St. Francis River. In the wake of a surface cold front, a persistent southwest flow of moist air aloft generated multiple rounds of widespread rain. The three-day rainfall at the Poplar Bluff airport was 4.18 inches for the 20th, 21st, and 22nd.
