Moderate instability, moderate vertical wind shear, and unusually-high humidity resided over eastern portions of north-central Montana during the late morning and early afternoon of June 7th. A mesoscale convective system moved northward over Fergus County during the late morning as multiple shortwave troughs traversed north-central and southwest Montana.
