A cold front slowly sagged southward through Maryland during the evening hours of May 15th. A line of storms spread ahead of this front, producing 1-2 inches of rain in parts of Loudoun, Fairfax, and Arlington Counties, and the City of Alexandria. This was enough to cause some flooding. Stream flooding continued into the early morning hours of the 16th.
