Thunderstorms developed across La Paz County during the early afternoon hours on July 11th; some of the stronger storms produced intense rainfall that led to flash flooding near the town of Quartzsite. Local emergency managers reported that heavy rains led to the closure of several roads in the Quartzsite area during the afternoon hours and a Flash Flood Warning was issued for the area as a result of the very heavy rains. No accidents or injuries were reported fortunately.
