On May 24 an isolated severe storm formed near Abilene and produced damaging winds and flash flooding in the city. On May 25, an isolated gargantuan, southwest moving supercell, moved southwest across southern Brown County, San Saba County and Mason County during the evening hours. As it did, it left a path of destruction of damaging winds and large hail. The largest hail was near Richland Springs.
