Scattered showers and thunderstorms developed over portions of Deep East Texas during the overnight and through the morning hours of July 31st, near an old outflow boundary from a complex of thunderstorms that dissipated during the early afternoon hours of July 30th over North Texas. An approaching positive tilt upper level trough diving south through the Southern Plains enhanced large scale forcing near this surface boundary during the overnight hours, which persisted for several hours across A
