An otherwise benign day of isolated showers and thunderstorms across New Mexico was still able to produce localized heavy rainfall. An area of thunderstorms that developed over the Jemez Mountains moved southward through Sandoval County through 6 pm on the 10th. One particularly heavy area of rainfall impacted Tent Rocks National Monument and resulted in flash flooding.
