Flood — Winona, MN

Two lines of severe thunderstorms moved across southeast Minnesota during the afternoon and evening of June 30th. These storms dropped some hail and also produced damaging winds. Quarter sized hail fell near Preston (Fillmore County) and Winona (Winona County). A 69 mph wind gust occurred at the Rochester airport (Olmsted County) and trees and power lines were blown down in Austin (Mower County) and Lanesboro (Fillmore County). A lightning strike started a house fire in Goodview (Winona County).
