A slow moving cold front and a weak convergence zone just ahead of it were the focus of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. Storms trained across the region dumping up to three inches of rain in a short amount of time, especially across central portions of Ste. Francois county. Flash flooding was reported in Park Hills and Leadington.
