A cold front approached New England on the early morning of July 26th, with warm and very humid air in place over Southern New England. A pre-frontal trough moved through the region generating showers and a few thunderstorms. The thunderstorms brought down trees and wires in several locations, and generated tornadoes that touched down in Douglas and Upton during the early morning.
